APEX Technologies offers compact continuous tunable laser source modules that fit in the AP1000 platform. Two different module types are available: AP3350A and AP3352A, which covers C-band and L-band respectively. These tunable laser source modules can cover a wavelength range of 82 nm from 1526 nm to 1608 nm. They can operate in Static Mode or in Continuous and Step by Step Sweeping Mode. They can also be used in Grid Mode, with which the customers can set the universal ITU grid or define their own and select the needed wavelength position.
AP3350A and AP3352A tunable laser sources offer a narrow line width ~ 300 kHz, +13 dBm maximum output power with 30 dB of power adjustment. They provide an ultra high wavelength accuracy of +/- 6 pm, a narrow wavelength setting resolution < 1 pm, and a high Side-Mode Suppression Ratio (SMSR) > 47 dB. Thanks to our self-developed technology, these tunable lasers offer a very good performance to price ratio.
By the mainframe control, the AP3350A and AP3352A tunable laser source modules can be easily combined with other modules as AP3370 EDFA module, AP3314 power meter module, AP 3364 optical variable attenuator module or AP3344 optical switch module to perform various measurements. The display menu of these tunable laser sources allows overview of any other AP1000 modules.
The user can control the mainframe by touch sensitive screen or front panel. The mainframe allows GPIB, Ethernet connections and remote control through Internet. The operational parameters are easily accessed using mnemonic symbols, and simple prompts provide user-friendly operations.

Three modes are available, static, continuous sweeping and step by step sweeping. The power can be adjusted from -30 dBm to +13 dBm, the scale unit can be modified easily, grids can be created and loaded, the calibration can be modified by the user if necessary…
